Your New Neighbourhood Checklist
You’ve just moved to Belle Aire Shores… CONGRATULATIONS! It’s an exciting, busy and thrilling time for you and your family. Getting familiar with your neighbourhood and contributing to the community are essentials for an easy, comfortable and efficient move. Here are a few things to explore and check off your list now that you’ve moved in.
Know Your Neighbourhood
Start by getting to know your surroundings. Introduce yourself to your neighbours, get familiar with your local trails and small businesses, attend any interesting community meetings and don’t be afraid to explore any off beaten paths.
Innisfil’s Belle Aire Shores homes are nestled close to The Town’s waterfront, trails and various amenities. Be sure to explore Innisfil.ca for monthly calendar events as well as added information regarding employment, government, business, construction and more!
Transit Routes
Whether you’re commuting by bus, car or GO Train, knowing your most efficient transit route is essential in preparing for smoother drives to and from work, as well as to your neighbourhood’s surrounds.
While you may rely on your vehicle, you’ll be happy to know that Innisfil’s Transit and GO Transit system offers a convenient way to get to Toronto should you require. Innisfil has also recently partnered with Uber to provide a ridesharing-transit program for its residents which you can read more about here.
Library and Resources
The availability of amenities speaks volumes about any neighbourhood. You want to move to a neighbourhood that provides as many resources as possible. Research your nearest library and look for any upcoming events or learning seminars that you or any of your family members may be interested in.
Innisfil’s IdeaLAB & Library offers a long list of programs for youth, adults, seniors and families, such as education, entrepreneurial, creative, skills development and much, much more. Aside from learning, be sure to look into their available recreation for children and families, as well as outdoor activities including boating and swimming during the warmer months, and hockey and skating lessons in the available indoor rinks.
Grocery and Shopping
The Belle Aire Shores homes are located in such a unique and convenient area within Innisfil. There’s not only an abundance of grocery stores within close distance (Sobeys, No Frills, etc.), but also, numerous nearby farms who sell their fresh and local produce to residents all year round. Be sure to look for information about Innisfil’s weekly farmer’s market, as well as neighbouring farms that are open to visitors. There is always fresh produce to be picked and sold during specific months in the year so take advantage of the opportunity to not only source food locally but also seasonally.
From all of us at Belle Aire Shores we hope this list was helpful and wish you best of luck with your move and your beautiful new home!
