Summer In Stayner
Summer is fast approaching and Zancor Homes couldn’t be more excited! Our neighbourhood of new, modern and affordable family-friendly homes is nestled in the heart of the charming Town of Stayner, minutes away from Collingwood and Wasaga Beach, and less than an hour away from the GTA. Stayner and its surrounding communities host a plethora of summer activities to celebrate the warmer temperatures, bring neighbours together and keep the kids active—and all within a few minutes from the quality-crafted Zancor Homes neighbourhood. Let’s take a closer look at what Stayner, and the surrounding area, has to offer this summer!
Music, Market and Park It
Starting in June until the end of August, enjoy a fun-filled evening every Thursday night from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Music, Market and Park It fair in Stayner’s Station Park. Take the family out and enjoy live musical performances from jazz, rock, country and folk bands, while taking a stroll through the lot of impressive classic cars on display. Local vendors will also be selling homemade baked goods as well as fresh fruits and vegetables. The weekly event will also include a 2019 Mustang Raffle and endless activities for kids.
Children and Youth Activities
Take advantage of the fully-accessible and free golf program starting in June until September every Wednesday afternoon at the Batteaux Creek Golf Club in Nottawasaga. Clearview’s minor soccer league also runs from May to August, with practices and games alternating between New Lowell and Creemore soccer fields. For kids more interested in hockey, Creemore and Stayner’s minor league registrations start in June for the summer season.
Kids will also enjoy plenty of fun activities at all Clearview Public Library branches this summer, including drop-in craft sessions every Saturday (which take place all year long at all three branches), and the After School Klub. Here children from grades 2-6 will enjoy playing games, arts and crafts, and other fun and challenging activities.
Stayner’s Centennial Pool will also have staff and lifeguards around their heated outdoor pool from June 29 to August 30. Parents can enroll their children in swimming lessons or simply have a look at the pool’s schedule to drop in for family swim, aqua fit classes or adult only swim sessions.
