Innisfil’s Recreational Complexes
The humble Town of Innisfil has a long list of unique attributes that larger cities and municipalities simply cannot rival. It’s beautiful beach parks and waterfront, strong community culture, easy access to transport and well-priced Belle Aire Shores homes are qualities attracting young families and first time home buyers from all over the GTA and surrounding areas. Belle Aire Shores’ new builds are also nestled in the heart of Innisfil, amongst various valuable family-friendly amenities and facilities that allow for efficient access to recreation. Let’s have a closer look at Innisfil’s recreation complexes ideally-located close to Belle Aire Shores’ 36′, 42′ and 50′ detached homes.
On Yonge Street, a mere 5 minute drive from Belle Aire Shores, is Innisfil’s YMCA—the Town’s dominant recreational complex, soon to be celebrating it’s 9th birthday! The centre offers recreational sport and activity for all ages and in all categories, as well as resources and tools for youth, business owners, seniors and new immigrants. The complex hosts events catered to residents in the area who are interested in the arts, culture and Innisfil’s heritage, as well as opportunities to volunteer and attend events. Residents enjoy the YMCA’s fitness and wellness studios, swimming pools, track facility and child minding services. The complex also boasts plenty of free parking along with multiple soccer pitches, a new rink and available office space rentals for entrepreneurs or residents looking to host meetings or special events.
Less than a 10 minute drive from Belle Aire Shores is Innisfil’s Stroud Recreation Centre & Library, known for its rinks and hosted hockey tournaments. The library also offers preschool and after school programs, as well as drop-in story times, adult book clubs, workshops and computer classes. Various groups also gather here weekly and monthly during scheduled times for knitting, singing, participating in drum circles, as well as an adult colouring club.
To celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday, the community will also be putting on afternoon and evening events on July 1st that are free and family-friendly. In the afternoon, Innisfil’s ideaLAB & Library on Innisfil Beach Road will have live entertainment including local dancers, musicians, artists and more! The Town will also be revealing a Canada 150 Mosaic Mural to celebrate Canada, while offering plenty of other children’s activities and fun for the whole family. In the evening, families will enjoy complimentary cupcakes while listening to The Carl Rundown Band and enjoying fire sculptures and a breathtaking firework display in Innisfil Beach Park!
Less than a 4 minute drive on Killarney Beach Road is the South Innisfil Lefroy Community Centre. Little league hockey teams often battle on this complex’s rink. The community centre also has a well equipped kitchen and bar, as well as banquet hall space available for hosting special events and large functions or occasions.
For those more interested in taking their recreation outdoors, the Town’s various naturesque and well-maintained trails along Innisfil Beach Park are an absolute delight. The YMCA, other community centres and neighbouring child care facilities all offer outdoor recreational activities for adults and children during warmer seasons. Families who love the water also come together with their boats along the docks during spring and summer to enjoy the sun and beach.
A neighbourhood without easy access to recreational facilities and amenities can truly limit the potential of a town and municipality. Fortunately, Belle Aire Shores’ 36′, 42′ and 50′ detached homes are only a few minutes away from all that the Town of Innisfil has to offer… and it offers plenty, and more!
