A New Library Facility, Transit, and School Funding is Underway

Clearview Township is a community on the rise, with new community infrastructure projects and long-range planning taking place to make it ever more vibrant and lively.

With our new detached homes in Stayner, we’re offering a collection of 50’ designs, starting from the mid $400’s to suit everyone in this family friendly neighbourhood.

Most of us know that Clearview is home to some of the prettiest Ontario destinations, just minutes from the World’s Longest Freshwater Beach in Wasaga Beach just to the north, the gorgeous Blue Mountains to the west, historic Creemore to the south, and the GTA just 45 minutes away.

The Township has created a strategic plan, identifying five pillars of community living to be enhanced. Recreation & Culture, Identity, Economics, Quality of Life and Governance are all on the table for positive changes that will affect how the community goes about the business of life.

Some of these major changes are taking place on a practical level. Recently, a location was approved for a major project, rebuilding of a new public library in Stayner. As well, a transit program has been put into place and is a sign of good things to come. Finally, an announcement from the Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) means an expansion to Clearview Meadows Public School.

Stayner Library

In 2016, Council approved a new location for the Stayner Library, adjacent to the Community Centre. This $3.8 million project is expected to be built by 2019. The new library will be approximately 8200 sq. ft.

Clearview Transit

The Clearview Bus operates 7 days a week and provides transportation to 23 different locations in Stayner and includes a route to Wasaga Beach as well. The comprehensive route travels past important local destinations including shops, schools, medical centres and more.

Clearview Meadows Public School

Clearview Meadows PS was recently approved for $3.5 million in funding from the SCDSB. This increased funding will help the school accommodate students from the nearby Byng Public School.

Clearview Township has a growing tourism industry, fueled in large part by its great farmers’ markets, trails and parks, as well as the growing Small Halls Festival. This makes Clearview a destination for those travelling further to Wasaga Beach and Collingwood.

Finally, watch for changes in Downtown Stayner as the Community Improvement Plan continues to roll out. This program allows for local businesses to apply for grants for facade improvements in the Downtown. These programs foster community pride and encourage people to make use of their downtown, as well as spur economic growth locally.
